Full coverage for the classic office chair
51 years after Ib and Jørgen Rasmussen designed the first model of the groundbreaking classic chair series, of which 2.5 million were sold, the KEVI 2534 now comes with the option of covering the backrest, seat, and chair base with fabric or leather.
The model is called KEVI 2534u (shown here with a Paul Smith stripe) which also offers the comfort of a 4 cm padded upholstery with an arched front edge on the seat and a padded backrest. The chair has an automatic height adjustment and the ability to adjust the back support.
Of course, the new KEVI also has what brought success to the original KEVI series: a satin polished aluminium 5-legged base with the renown and famed KEVI-castors. Designed by Jørgen Rasmussen in 1965, the castors were added to the list of ”Danish cultural products”—as one of the 12 most important design and craftwork pieces of Danish culture.
The KEVI-series looks back on 51 years of success and continuity of design. It contributes to the best combination of aesthetics and ergonomics and thus meets the needs of the modern workplace: it is the ultimate chair for an attractive workplace in the home and in exclusive offices.
Since 2008, Engelbrechts A/S has been the producer of the classic chairs and expects a final total of 2.55 million KEVI-chairs sold by the end of 2010.
The KEVI 2534u model is available with fabric upholstery from 481 Euro (excluding VAT) and in leather upholstery from 667 Euro (excluding VAT).
